Skilled Nursing Care includes:
- Assessment of vital signs, incision, drains, swelling, intake/output etc.
- Following surgeon's aftercare instructions
- Providing patient education and demonstration
- Answering questions regarding recovery process, nutrition, and doctor’s aftercare instructions.
- Medication reminders and pick-up.
- Assisting with self-administration of medication.
- Unlimited telephone support.
- Training provided to caregiver (for times when client is not under our care)
- Virtual Nurse visits (by appointment only, after face-to-face visit).
- Emergency event support.*
Personal Care Aide(PCA) service includes:
- Overnight monitoring your first night after surgery
- One complimentary healthy breakfast smoothie each day of care and healthy snack.
- Preparing client's immediate environment for recovery
- Assisting with ambulation, bed bath/shower, garment change, and self-administration of medication.
- Personal Hygiene needs.
- Assistance with use of IPC device** and Incentive Spirometer.
- Maintaining cleanliness of client area.
- Monitoring and reporting any change of health status to assigned nurse.
*Emergency event support includes calling 911, contacting your designated emergency contact, and accompanying you to the emergency room (please note that the person accompanying you may not be allowed inside due to COVID-19 restrictions). Doctor and/or surgical team will also be informed of your status. Follow up virtual visit also included by request.
